CURIOSTUDIO
Our Curiostudio is a place where kids and families can come to explore their curiosity about the natural world in an inviting and creative space offering a range of rotating, hands-on, engagement stations. At our stations, children can observe and identify insect specimens under microscopes, learn about the life cycles of the creatures of Cascadia, and use their senses to learn about native plants and flowers. The theme of the Curiostudio changes weekly from topics like wind and clouds or pollinators to urban mammals or stars of the Northern Hemisphere. You can also explore our permanent Curio Collection, which features a variety of learning objects, from snake skeletons and taxidermy squirrels to our seed box and rock and mineral collection.
Our partially-covered outdoor exploration area will soon be home to our resident chickens and bunnies, worm table, willow caves, mud kitchen, bug mansion, and builder's corner.
